Anatomical Institute of the University of Bonn
The Anatomical Institute of the University Hospital Bonn was built in 1872 near the Electoral Palace. However, it has long since consisted of more than just this imposing building. As early as the start of the 1990s, the considerable increase in the number of students made larger premises necessary. The institute was one of the first to be extended in Nussallee. This extension is now used both as a lecture hall building with seminar room facilities and practical course rooms, and as a conference building for all faculties. The historical building was converted into a state-of-the-art research and teaching building, now impressively combining cutting-edge laboratory equipment with a cultural-historical ambience. The institute is currently home to 404 students.
